There are Government organizations that 'watchdog' businesses to catch fraud. This is a very good thing.   They particularly concentrate on businesses in areas that have had lots of frauds. Like 'fuel savers' and 'free energy products'.   In fact, they look for these types of businesses and contact them to make sure they are doing business legally. We have been so contacted nine times in the past, each time complying with laws and standards set by these organizations.   We not only want to comply with all laws, we want to maintain the highest possible ethical standards.   Operating a legitimate 'fuel saver' and 'free energy' business in a field of fraud usually gets us painted with the same brush, in that people are led to believe that all 'fuel savers' are frauds and that there is no such thing as 'free-energy'.   This 'belief' makes our legitimate sales extremely difficult, so we're very happy to see agencies that stop frauds.   Most of our sales come from satisfied customers recommending our products to their friends. This is a very satisfying feeling.   In April of 2002, we were contacted by the United States Federal Trade Commission. Their letter stated that they felt some of the 'claims' on this website might not comply with fair trade advertising standards. (see letter)   On this website, we only state results that we and our customers have consistently achieved. In fact, we understate potential gains so that our customers are consistently happy.   Further, I am a certified automotive technician and an inventor, with knowledge in multiple trades and disiplines, so am quite qualified to conduct scientific tests; considering all relevant factors to achieve consistent and reliable results.   Finally, we have sent mass mailings specifically to mechanics and scientifically trained people for peer review. Several of them have made very good money applying our 'patent free' fuel saving technology.   Because there are far too many variables when people are applying our technology, we do not make official 'claims' that our customers will achieve any particular mileage or performance gains and pollution reduction.   Guarantee   Since we want only satisfied customers, all Eagle-Research products order form are sold with a money back guarantee. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, return the product(s) within 60 days of receipt of the product(s) for a full refund of the product(s) purchase price.   In the past, our guarantee has been sufficient to please 'watchdog' agencies (and our customers), particularly as we have not had a single legitimate complaint since we started business in 1984.   The return rate on our products is less than 1%, indicating that we do provide what the customer expects. Note: The few returns are usually made by customers that decided not to apply the technology, so never got the chance to benefit.   However, the above guarantee does not cover 'wording' that may violate fair marketing laws. We need to make you aware of when the statements you see are;   Results from our own testing   Results of independent testing   Results of customer feedback (testimonials)   We have been researching various laws to comply with them. We are now in the process of upgrading our website wording (which will take a few months) and you'll start seeing these three icons.
